STEM4Girls believes in teaching students through hands-on experience, that’s why we support multiple FIRST Robotics teams. Through FIRST, students are given a chance to apply all the skills they have learned in and out of the classroom by building robots that compete in exciting challenges.
FIRST is divided into four different stages so that everyone can get hands-on experience with technology. Every year different challenges are released for students to solve by engineering their own robots. These challenges help make learning fun and interesting, keeping students engaged while they learn everything from wiring robots and using CAD to CNC milling and computer vision.
STEM4Girls is currently sponsoring multiple FLL and FTC teams as well as working with BPSRobotics to increase the amount of girls participating in FRC teams. The following teams are currently under STEM4Girls and have done amazing this season, bringing home multiple awards:
- Nano Ninjas
- Galaxy Dragons
- Robo Pandas
- Robo Raiders
- Gears in Motion
